While the Xbox One comes in 500 GB or 1 TB storage configurations, the units are not expandable. All the drives used are 2.5″ form-factor from Seagate, and you can get 1-5TB normal drives or 1 or 2TB FireCuda SSHD drives for an additional speed boost. The drives also add another three USB 3.0 ports to the console, two of which can support additional storage, and the third is for controller connection or charging. They’ve just released plug-in USB storage for the Xbox One that comes in 2TB, 4TB, 5TB and 2TB SSHD variants in enclosures that look like they were part of the original design. Let’s face it, the original Xbox One never had enough storage space, with a max of 1TB. Xbox games aren’t getting smaller, and with the rise of digital sales, you need somewhere to install your games before you can start 360-noscoping.
